The Government have published their long-awaited NHS 10-year Health Plan for England, setting out an ambition to deliver quality, community-based care across the country.
One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime – either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both.
Increased community-based care could offer a lifeline for people living with the condition, and their families and carers, but only if the right support is built in from the start. We must ensure that the unique needs of everyone affected are reflected in the future of the NHS.
Email your MP today and ask them to write to Wes Streeting MP, the Health and Social Care Secretary, calling for increased access to dementia specialist nursing in every local community.
Let's make sure this isn't a missed opportunity - together, we can make sure that no one faces dementia alone.
