Ask your MP to meet with Dementia UK

This World Alzheimer's Month is the perfect opportunity to ask all MPs to take action to help transform dementia care.

Gail was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 54. And like too many others living with dementia, she received inadequate support.

The post-diagnosis support was almost non-existent. I was given this life-altering news, handed some leaflets and expected to walk out of the doctor’s room as if nothing had happened.

No one should face dementia alone. And with newly elected MPs up and down the country, now is the time to strengthen parliamentary support for positive change.

Let’s keep moving dementia up the political agenda. Invite your MP to speak to Dementia UK today.

During the General Election, thousands of supporters took action and put dementia on the agenda.

And we haven’t stopped there. Since the election, over 1,000 of us have contacted our newly elected MPs, sharing why transforming dementia care matters in our communities.

Now, we want to build on those conversations and secure widespread support in parliament. We achieve this by meeting MPs 1-1 and taking the message to the political Party Conferences.

By entering your postcode you’ll get a tailored email for your MP about meeting Dementia UK.

Together, we can make sure every MP understands the urgent need to transform dementia care for people like Gail.
